Program Overview The Garden State Crop Insurance Education Initiative is in the twelfth year of partnership between Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Salem County, the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, and the Risk Management Agency of the United States Department of Agriculture. This education program is funded by the Risk Management Agency to inform New Jersey agricultural producers about crop insurance. The New Jersey crop insurance education team exhibits at area trade shows, speaks at producer meetings, conducts farm visits, and pursues various other educational avenues.
